Gandhinagar: In a significant push towards digital governance, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Regional AI Impact Conference Gujarat Chapter at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Thursday. Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit, the Chief Minister unveiled several key initiatives aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into public service delivery.

Cloud Adoption Guidelines 2025
To further strengthen the state’s digital infrastructure, the government released the ‘Gujarat Cloud Adoption Guidelines 2025’. This framework aims to make digital governance more secure, scalable, and AI-ready.
According to the guidelines, government departments will now find it easier to adopt cloud services empanelled by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). This move will also allow departments to tap into national-level GPU computing infrastructure, accelerating the deployment of AI and data-driven applications across the state.
“We also launched the Gujarat Cloud Adoption Guidelines 2025, a robust framework to make our digital governance more secure, scalable and AI-ready. Strategic Partnerships with Google and BHASHINI
The summit also witnessed the signing of three major Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to bolster the digital ecosystem. A collaboration with the Government of India’s BHASHINI initiative was finalized to develop multilingual AI solutions, breaking language barriers in governance.
Additionally, an MoU was signed with tech giant Google to establish an AI Centre of Excellence in the state. Focus on Balanced Development
Beyond the technology summit, the Chief Minister also announced administrative decisions regarding regional development. Eleven talukas have been declared as ‘developing talukas’ to ensure balanced growth across the state. Under the Developing Taluka Scheme, these areas will receive an annual grant of Rs 2 crore. Furthermore, an additional Rs 1 crore will be provided annually under the ‘Apano Taluka Vibrant Taluka’ scheme, bringing the total development grant to Rs 3 crore per taluka.
