HP Police Recruitment: Revised Results Declared Following High Court Order; 43 Posts Remain Vacant

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has officially released the revised results for the Police Constable recruitment examination. This action comes in compliance with directives issued by the High Court, necessitating a review of the previously conducted selection process.

The recruitment drive aimed to fill vacancies for both male and female constables across the state. While the majority of the positions have been successfully filled, the commission reported that several posts remain vacant due to the unavailability of eligible candidates in specific categories.

Female Constable Recruitment

For the position of Constable (Female) on special duty, the commission had originally advertised 380 vacancies. Following the selection process and document verification, 369 candidates have been successfully recruited. However, 11 posts could not be filled as suitable candidates were not found in certain reserved categories. Prior to the final selection, 621 female candidates had been shortlisted for the document verification stage.

Male Constable Recruitment

Similarly, the recruitment for male constables saw a total of 708 posts advertised by the Public Service Commission. The final revised result confirms that 676 male candidates have been selected for the positions. Despite the rigorous selection process, 32 posts in the male category remain vacant due to a lack of eligible applicants in specific segments.

Overall Vacancies

The recruitment process, which is critical for bolstering the state’s police force, has concluded with a total of 43 posts remaining vacant across both gender categories. The commission has issued the revised merit list based on the court’s instructions to ensure transparency and adherence to legal standards.
