MP Minister Inder Singh Parmar Criticizes Santosh Verma’s Remarks, Says Law Equal for Minister’s Kin

Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar has delivered a stern message regarding law and order and administrative conduct during a visit to Damoh. Addressing recent controversies that have surfaced in the state, the minister emphasized the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards criminal activities.

Parmar’s statements are being viewed as highly significant amid rising political tensions over specific incidents involving public officials and their relatives. He explicitly stated that the law remains impartial regardless of a person’s status or connections.

Strict Stance on Law and Order

Speaking to the media, Minister Parmar declared that the administration would not spare anyone found guilty of illegal activities. He stressed that whether the accused is a relative of a minister or a high-ranking officer, legal action will follow its due course without interference. This was said by parmar on being asked a question related to minister Pratima Bagri’s brother arrest case and IAS Santosh Verms’s remark.

“The law will not spare anyone, be it a minister’s relative or a big officer.” — Inder Singh Parmar

This assertion comes as the state government faces scrutiny over the conduct of individuals linked to power. The minister’s comments aimed to reinforce public trust in the administrative machinery and the judicial process.

Controversy Surrounding Santosh Verma

The minister also addressed a specific controversy involving remarks made by Santosh Verma. Without mincing words, Parmar condemned the nature of the statement. He categorized the comments as unacceptable to both the nation and society at large.

“The statement is not digestible for the country and society.” — Inder Singh Parmar

Parmar’s sharp criticism suggests the party and the government are distancing themselves from inflammatory or inappropriate public discourse that could damage social harmony.

Allegations Against Minister’s Kin

The backdrop to Parmar’s strong assertions includes a serious case involving the family of a fellow cabinet member. Recently, the name of Minister of State Pratima Bagri’s brother and other relatives surfaced in connection with a grave criminal case involving ganja (cannabis) smuggling.

The involvement of a minister’s close relatives in such a serious offense had triggered discussions in political circles about potential administrative bias. By addressing this issue indirectly but firmly, Parmar sought to clarify that the government would not shield anyone based on political lineage. The administration maintains that the police investigation will proceed based on evidence, irrespective of the high-profile names involved.
