BHOPAL: In a remarkable display of precision and focus, Pawni Bajpai, a young marksman from Bhopal, has earned the prestigious title of ‘Renowned Shooter’ at the ongoing National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC).

A Class 11 student at SAGE International School, Danish Kunj, Pawni competed in the highly competitive 10M Air Pistol event. Her achievement is particularly notable given that this was her debut appearance at the national-level tournament.

Debut Performance

Competing against seasoned participants from across the country, the young shooter displayed exceptional composure. Securing the ‘Renowned Shooter’ status in a first attempt is often considered a significant milestone in an athlete’s career, qualifying them for national trials and higher-level competitions.

Her training and technical preparation were overseen by her coach, Mr. Najeef Kidwai. Under his guidance, Pawni navigated the pressure of the national arena to deliver a qualifying score required for the distinction.

School and Community Pride

The accomplishment has brought accolades to her institution, SAGE International School in Danish Kunj. School authorities and local sports enthusiasts have noted her success as a positive indicator for shooting sports in the region.

By clearing the cut-off score mandated by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for the ‘Renowned Shooter’ tag, Pawni has effectively established herself as a serious contender in the junior shooting circuit.
